OFFICIAL: CAF Announces Salah, Mane and Aubameyang as the finalists of the Player of the Year

The 2018 CAF Awards confirmed Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang as the finalist of the Player of the Year.

Next week, the prestigious award, which will be presented at a gala in Dakar, Senegal, will go to one of the three stars of the Premier League after sparkling in 2018.

Last year’s winner, Salah followed his achievements in 2017 with another fine 12 months, breaking the 38-game season goals of the Premier League record and leading Liverpool to the Champions League final before finishing the year at the top of the league.

Teammate Mane, second in 2017, was similarly influential in the Reds ‘ success, forming a devastating forward line along with Salah and Roberto Firmino and netting Real Madrid in the Kiev final defeat.

In the meantime, 2015 Aubameyang player of the year hit the ground in England following a big move from Borussia Dortmund.

The international Gabon scored 10 goals for the last term of the Premier League following its switch and is linked to Salah and Harry Kane at the top of the scoring charts with 13 this season.

Salah and Mane were both scored as Liverpool thrashed the Arsenal of Aubameyang 5- 1 on Saturday.
