Tottenham says that their new stadium won’t host matches until March at least.
Spurs was originally planned to move to the new White Hart Lane stadium in September, but the project was lagging behind.
After an update from contractors, the club took its latest decision.
” I wish to apologize to our fans and thank you for your continuing patience,” said Daniel Levy, President of Tottenham.
The new ground, which also hosts NFL games, has a capacity of 62,062 games and is located on the site of their old home in White Hart.
During a fan familiarization event in December several thousand ticket holders were allowed to explore the South Stand.
” The response of those who attended the familiarization event was great to hear and strengthened our commitment to provide everyone with an exceptional matching experience,” Levy added.
” We will now seek clarity regarding the planning of the building tests and the dates of the test events and provide further information in the next two or three weeks.”
